Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to and use of Socorro County Criminal History. Reading a page or submitting a search means you agree to them. If you do not agree, discontinue use of the website.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no connection to a local, state, or federal agency. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, insurance, housing, or another decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to identify official criminal-record channels in Socorro County, New Mexico. It is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent private reference site. It does not hold official files, order government checks, retrieve records on a visitor's behalf, or submit court documents.

The material identifies custodians such as the Socorro County Sheriff's Office, New Mexico courts, the New Mexico Department of Public Safety State Central Repository, and the New Mexico Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you must not:

  • Violate federal, New Mexico, or local law
  • Threaten, stalk, or harass a person with information found here
  • Use the content for employment, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any system
  • Operate bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools
  • Interfere with performance or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use website or linked-tool information to intimidate, threaten, stalk, harass, or unlawfully discriminate. New Mexico law specifically bars using New Mexico Sex Offender Registry information to injure, intimidate, or harass a registrant or that person's family. Registry data supports community awareness, not vigilantism or retaliation.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit files, or official background checks. Our partners are not presented as services for decisions about applicants, renters, insurance, or credit. You agree not to use website or linked-tool data to:

  • Make a hiring or termination decision
  • Evaluate a renter or housing application
  • Set insurance terms or judge credit
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

A lawful regulated check must come from the New Mexico Department of Public Safety or a provider that complies with the FCRA and all other applicable law.

5. No Legal Advice

Website content is general information, not legal advice. Only a licensed New Mexico attorney can advise how a charge, warrant, conviction, or expungement rule applies to a specific situation.

6. No Warranties

All services and content are provided "as is." We make no promise that:

  • Information is always complete, correct, or current
  • Access will remain continuous or uninterrupted
  • Pages contain no defect, error, or security weakness
  • A partner result is accurate or comprehensive

Charges, dispositions, sealing, and expungement can change a public record. Delays and gaps are possible. Treat no website statement as an official statement from a court, sheriff, or other government office.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to government pages, courts, legal resources, and independent services we do not control. Their content, availability, fees, and data practices are their responsibility. Review the destination's terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, logos, graphics, and code belong to Socorro County Criminal History or its content partners. Written permission is required to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the website, its content, or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, actions, expenses, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use of the website or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

New Mexico law governs these terms. Any dispute connected to website use must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in New Mexico.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these conditions. A revision becomes effective when the updated terms are published here.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may suspend or end access at any time, with or without prior notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. The affected language will be limited only as needed to make it enforceable.
