Why We Built This Site
Access in New Mexico depends on the type of record and its custodian. Socorro County jail staff keep booking and current custody data, while an arresting agency holds its own incident report. Judicial Branch clerks maintain filed charges and dispositions. The New Mexico Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement Records Bureau operates the fingerprint-supported State Central Repository, and the New Mexico Corrections Department tracks state custody and adult supervision. The New Mexico Sex Offender Registry is another separate official system. The elected County Clerk has a different administrative and land-record role. We bring the verified request steps, costs, contacts, and search routes together without merging these records into one misleading product.
What You Will Find Here
- Agency contacts: verified routes to the Socorro County Sheriff, detention center, trial courts, and statewide systems
- Record guides: how to search and read Socorro County criminal court cases
- Official record review: the subject-authorized NMDPS process and New Mexico's electronic fingerprint channel
- Record relief: where qualifying New Mexico expungement petitions begin and which office issues the order
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference resource, not part of a New Mexico court, law-enforcement office, or state agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We cannot issue certified court papers, rap sheets, or criminal-history records
- We cannot submit IPRA requests, expungement petitions, or other forms for a reader
- We cannot provide legal advice about a charge, arrest, sentence, or case
- We cannot obtain an official record or conduct an official background check
- We cannot promise that an agency's address, fee, or telephone number has not changed
An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the sheriff, Judicial Branch clerk, or New Mexico Department of Public Safety. We only identify those routes.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes that appear on some pages. They control their own services, result content, and prices. If a visitor follows one of those tools into a paid service, this site may receive a referral fee that supports free public access to the resource. We do not set provider charges or control the records returned.
